We hold two major concerts each year; one in the summer usually at St Paul’s in Huddersfield, the other at Christmas usually in Holmfirth Civic Hall.
The members also busk around local villages, supermarkets and pubs at christmas and these three events are our main fund raising activities.
In 2001 SYB had a very successful tour to Holland and the players had a thoroughly good time!
The band plays in a number of local village galas in the summer; we play concerts for senior citizens and for the past two years have lead the Remembrance Sunday parade in Honley.
In short we believe we are a fundamental part of our local community and we reach a large number of local people throughout the year.
