Saturday 1st May 2010

A group of 8 adults and 2 children plus the leader, duly turned out to see and learn more about the wildlife on the above two sites.

The event had been advertised on the Huddersfield Birdwatchers Club Forum which led to several members of the group joining the walk also.

Despite the poor forecast for the day, we had excellent weather and the temperature reached a dizzy 17C by the end of the walk.

This allowed a number of butterflies to be seen as well as a good range of birds on the walk.
