Shelley Conservation Group cares for Shelley Whins and the Bridle.

Both are public open spaces in Shelley Village.

Each site include attractive wooded areas and meadows. Lying on a steep south-facing slope both offer wonderful views across the valley and are both well worth a visit.

The Conservation Group are a group of local residents who do a variety of regular tasks to keep the sites attractive, and improve them for wildlife and people.

We want more local people to visit and enjoy the wildlife on their doorstep.

Also we always need more people who would like to help us out, doing anything from picking up litter, putting in more wildflowers and keeping the paths clear. But it’s not only practical jobs that need doing: we also need help with things like fundraising, and putting up events leaflets around the village.
