It will soon be 6 months since the village post office re-opened in the Village Hall and I thought this might be an appropriate time to give you an update on its progress to date.
We opened on May 7th amidst much publicity with Shelley's oldest resident, Fred, doing the honours of cutting the ribbon. A fairly busy start led to a quiet summer but now with xmas just around the corner we seem to be seeing a few new faces.
The thursday afternoon session is usually very busy with the Over60s. Ideally we could do with a few more customers during the Monday and Tuesday morning sessions but it is still early days yet. We are opoen Monday and Tuesday mornings from 9.30 till 12.30 and Thursday afternnons from 1.00 till 4.00.
Peter, Sarah and I have really enjoyed meeting some new faces from Shelley over the past few months, many of whom have become regular customers. Others pop in now and again but there is always time for a friendly chat as you sit down (yes sit!) to carry out your transactions.
