These were well attended by over 130 people.

With low temperatures for days, thankfully, there was very little mud to contend with.

Generally the going was good but in places it was very icy. As a precaution, small detours were made to avoid treacherous areas. Sadly, one lady fell and broke her wrist. Accidents can and do happen, however experienced the walker and we wish this lady a speedy recovery.

One detour was through the gate and on the Healey Greave Meadow to avoid the icy tarmac path. This prompted only little girl to exclaim ‘this is our NEW SLEDGING FIELD’.

Some projects seem to take forever. By design or default we got this one right!!

Thanks to the ladies who provided the soup and bread which is as legendary as the walk itself.
