From the M62 via Wakefield:
From the M62 J29 follow signs for M1 South and Wakefield joining at M1 J 42.
At M1 J39 follow Huddersfield or Denby Dale signs to the roundabout at Bretton at the junction of the A636 Wakefield/Holmfirth Road and the A637 Barnsley/Huddersfield Road. From the roundabout follow the A636 signposted Denby Dale and continue for approximately four miles through Clayton West, Scissett and Denby Dale to the junction with the A629 Sheffield/Huddersfield Road (Sovereign pub facing you, large filling station on right), and turn right towards Huddersfield. Pass through Shepley to arrive at Shelley.
