Over the last year we have enjoyed a varied, and sometimes challenging programme.

In the summer we had two outdoor painting sessions, the first at Sude Hill, New Mill and the second at the beautiful Lower Crawshaw Garden in Emley which is part of the National Garden Scheme and where we are always made very welcome by Jane Hudson.

We enjoyed two demonstrations by David Newbold an acrylic and pastel artist (and hilarious speaker) and by Jane Lazenby who paints horses.

We also had two workshop sessions, one led by local celebrity Dorothy Burkinshaw who inspired us with her beautiful pattern work and encouraged us to create our own designs and another by Caroline Bell who took some of us right out of our comfort zone by making us work on large scale charcoal drawings.
