Woody, Shelley's favourite mouse first came to the village on the 18th September, 2004.
His exact route from Kilburn his birthplace is not known, but on that day he was first seen on top of Shelley's award for YORKSHIRE Village of the year.
Spotted, and then adopted by Nancy Ryden it was decided to keep him in the village as Shelley's pet, and as a reminder of this prestigious award.
