There are wonderful concerts in the Village Hall by world renowned ‘artistes’ for the price of less than a tenner including a drink;
drama, plays, reviews and the Georgie School of Dance.
There are Garden Festivals, Art exhibitions and the annual Children’s Gala enjoyed by young and old alike, and a very newsy Magazine - swish even!
Added to all of this is the beautiful, scenic countryside and lovely surrounding districts, making Shelley a lovely place to live.
Even greater than all of this is the vibrant community spirit, which was very evident in the Methodist Hall on ‘Judgement Day’.
Yorkshire Village of the Year
Well Done Shelley, you deserved to win.
