Another fine day and weren’t we lucky with the weather.
Before we started we had a new competition for the best Christmas Bonnet and what a good selection there was. After a long debate Mike Lockwood picked Chris Sheriff for the ladies and David Bramah for the men, there were some lovely creations worn and it made a joyful start to the walk.
The walk was led by Jane Schofield with Barrie as back marker. We left the Woodman and headed for Dam Hill, crossing the stream to walk along the bank. I call it a stream, it was more like a river with all the rushing water, then up a slight hill and left back to Dam Hill.
It certainly deserves its name; I was puffing and blowing by the time I reached the top.
