DAVE JONES
Few have done more for the youth of Shelley than Dave Jones. He has run the juniors for more years than anyone can remember. Now he is in the top job as captain of his favourite cricket team, a job he last did 13 years ago.
PETER DRYSDALE
Peter was born in the United Kingdom and it has taken him 22 years to return from New Zealand. He has lived up to his reputation as a high scoring batsman and has also taken a few wickets.
SARFRAZ AHMED
No one has measured Sarfraz’s bat but it seems far wider than others when facing the fast bowlers of the Premiership. As he has been with all his previous clubs he has been hugely successful at Westerley Lane.
GREG WADSWORTH
Greg was in Christchurch working in a bar when the earthquake struck and the bar was one of the few buildings to withstand the shock. On signing for Shelley he became an instant success with a century in his third game at the club.
