The immediate interest in our accents, often being tagged Australians (we have constantly had to correct people that we are in fact Kiwis), has helped us start some fantastic conversations and made us feel right at home here in West Yorkshire.
Most of the time we can honestly say that people are as friendly as at home and many whom we have met have had a few good tales to tell.
As well as delving into all that is local, we have made sure to explore an array of interesting places.
This initially came on adventures to;
York, where we were impressed by York Minister and the National Train Museum;
Nottingham, where we saw many beautiful women, old castles and pubs and re-enacted Robin Hood and Will Scarlet in Sherwood Forest, and
Scarborough, where we bad the joys of what we’d call a mid-winter swim.
