Scott Dyson once more led the side at the start of the season.
There were of course departures. Scott Marsh chose to throw in his lot with Lascelles Hall before he made his usual mid season move, this time to Hoylandswaine.
Abid Hussein had decided to retire at least temporary. One disappointment was the departure of another of our local youngsters, Liam Brothers to Almondbury.
A target sometime in the future must be to lure our home grown talent back to the club.
The likes of Allan Greenwood, Jack Greene and Gino Dignan are often seen at Westerley Lane so obviously they have a soft spot for the dub and everyone would like to see them return. Talking about youngsters, it was a disappointment that we were unable to field an under-seventeen team but ever reliable Will Meech agreed to run an under-13 side.
Tony Stephenson kept the beer flowing.
Dawn Pitt assembled a team of youngsters to help with the catering whilst Norman Manning got his mower and roller out to get the ground in tip-top condition.
