The decision to join the Drakes League in 2001 has proved an unqualified success both on and off the field. In five of those seven years trophies have arrived at Westerley Lane.

Those pioneers who started playing cricket in the village as long ago as 1861 started a tradition that has stood the test of time.

Arguably the last seven years has seen more progress than in the previous 140 years.

A look at the field sees a ground that is better than it has ever been whilst the new club room, tearoom and changing rooms would have amazed those early pioneers.

It took the club until 2004 to reach for the first time the highest echelons in local cricket. Our stay in the top flight was brief but since winning promotion again at the end of the 2005 season we have competed with the best to finish in second and third position in the Premiership.
