Meanwhile, at the Chapel itself, a major alteration was made which gave the main building its present outline. The members decided to purchase and install an organ. The instrument built in 1842 by James Mosley, organ builders of Halifax, is still in use today, though it has now been modernised by replacing the old hand bellows with an electrical mechanism.
