In 1984 as part of the celebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of the Methodist Church at Shelley a booklet was produced to tell the story of the Church over those years.

It was written and researched by Judyth Rees and titled "A History of the Methodist Church Far Bank, Shelley."

Over the following pages we reproduce this interesting piece of history which traces the life and work of the Church and Sunday School up to 1985.

We have also included a chapter covering developments from 1985 up to 2004.
