The curtain came down on the junior scene last Sunday and once more the youngsters were greeted by a miserable day.
One thing about visiting the ground on a Sunday morning you are always met with the appetising smell of bacon or sausages that bring a welcome source of income to the club which is a credit to our new committee.
Despite the weather the club can be proud of its youngsters.
Two of their numbers, Josh Jones and his cousin, Harvey, by winning representative honours are following in their father’s footsteps and who knows both might progress to be captains of the first eleven.
Josh, who is the club’s second eleven scorer has kept wicket for the representative under twelve side and Harvey, a very promising all-rounder has won honours at under eleven level.
