A big disappointment was suffering a double defeat against Skelmanthorpe despite Pushy scoring two centuries and he made it three with a brilliant unbeaten 149 in the Examiner Twenty20, a competition that we were favourites to win but disappointingly went out at Clayton West.

Darren Lockwood was voted our most consistent player scoring 914 runs and taking 11 vital wickets.

Matt Friedlander won a place in the British Universities team playing on the County circuit and won both the club’s batting and bowling prizes but his other commitments meant he missed far too many matches for our club.

Mohammad Ramzan, had for him, a disappointing season but still made two centuries in his 760 runs. Peter Pickford was not overawed by our top four stars and played useful innings when the call arose.
