Sam who lives in Shelley Park played for Cleckheaton in the Bradford League last season and is currently on a sports scholarship at Silcoates. He is a member of the Yorkshire Academy and many believe that he will progress to play County cricket.
New skipper, Simon Peacock, who has previously captained Marsden and Linthwaite, is hoping the team can continue where they left off last season but found it difficult to answer the question of who was going to bat at nine, ten and eleven?

AJ Construction under the direction of Andrew Harrison and John Credland with their apprentice Joe Lunn have been the main contractors starting their work the week before Christmas and delivering on time on Easter Saturday.
They have been well served by plasterer M Howbridge, electrician Rob Butterfield, painter Mick Harrison and plumber M Larder.
