It is hard to know where to start to talk about our second team skipper Dave Greaves unless it is to acknowledge the comments of his father that he should be playing first team cricket.
He is more than good enough to hold a place in most teams in the Premiership.
He learnt his cricket at Skelmanthorpe and had played at Denby before arriving at Westerley Lane to play in the Central League before being part of the set up that took the steps to join the Drakes League in 2001.
He is more than a competent wicket keeper but it is as a batsman that he is superb. 2004 saw him finish in third position in the League averages. The following year he did one better by finishing in second position with an average of over 55.
