Dave is a great ambassador, not just for Shelley sport, but sport in general.
Kids of all ages should stand in awe as to what he has done for them at football where he regularly referees two junior games in a weekend.
Also at cricket where he coached at two age levels last season but reduced his work load to just taking the under elevens on a Friday.
His sons, Sam and Josh are following in their father’s footsteps having taken on the roles of first and second team scorers.
Dave, together with groundsman, Lindsay Burgin, has worked tirelessly to improve the ground, particularly the surrounds. The top end looks better than it has ever done and it is infinitely better and safer now the gulleys around the perimeter have been filled in.
