One of the club’s most popular players who since his move from Linthwaite has got involved behind the scenes. He was the club’s top scorer in 2005 and was the perfect anchor as he opened the batting.

What a contrast this latest term when he dropped down the order and things just wouldn’t go right for him. During a bad run with the bat you could feel the tension when he went to the crease with everyone giving him encouragement and willing him to succeed.

He has been round the Drakes League circuit with Primrose Hill, like his skipper, being his first club. He went on to skipper Marsden where he made three centuries. He moved on to Thongsbridge and was delighted to make a century against his former club.

He went on to skipper Linthwaite where he enjoyed six seasons before coming to Westerley Lane two years ago.
