Darren needed no introduction to the Westerley Lane faithful on his return to the club.

The free scoring batsman won every prize in the book when he scored 1,315 runs including making three centuries in 2003. He also took 36 wickets.

The following season in the Premiership he made a couple of centuries and scored 717 runs at an average of 37.

Last season he had a season with Rotherham Phoenix.
His club finished in sixth position in the league. Darren topped the averages after scoring in excess of 800 runs and took 36 wickets.

He didn’t feel the standard of cricket was as high as the Drakes League and he hankered for a return to Shelley where we were glad to welcome him back to the fold.
