Annual Dinner and Awards 2005
The second eleven was also congratulated on maintaining their premiership status particularly as they often included several members of the under-15 team.
Skipper Dave Greaves praised his team and was particularly proud when they beat Elland at Hullen Edge.
Dave had played a huge part in the survival process scoring 806 runs at an average of 57.57 which won him the club prize and was only bettered by one player in Premiership Two. He unsurprisingly was also elected as ‘player of the year’.
There was much rivalry in the contest for the second eleven bowling prize where fourteen year old Allan Greenwood edged out his father, Danny, with 29 wickets at 23.86.
He was obviously the youngest ever player to win the title.
