Annual Dinner and Awards 2005
The dining room at the Bridge Hotel in Holmfirth was bursting at the seams when our cricketers celebrated their 2005 success.
After an enjoyable meal served to 80 or so guests, secretary, Gary Eastwood, who proved an admirable compere outlined the plans for the evening.
He first introduced club president, Bob Haigh, who delivered a poem that included anecdotes of the season.
Bob also handed over personalised souvenir booklets for all the players and for a few of the distinguished guests.
One of these went to Councillor Margaret Brooke who together with Councillor Christine Smith was profusely thanked by Gary for their efforts for the club over the past season.
