At the start of the season Graeme Hurlbatt laid down his tactics and aims. They were:-
- Bowl them out for less than 150 and
- Go on and win the Championship.
His tactics worked and very few teams made more than 150 and the Cedar Court Championship has been delivered to Westerley Lane with eleven points to spare.
Hurlbatt and his team can rightly acclaim the mission has been achieved.
