Peter stepped out of retirement to help out when the club was experiencing a shortage of players.

He made many centuries for Denby and helped them to both Allsop cup and championship success. He moved on in 1989 to play with Kirkheaton and later Holmfirth.

He also had a couple of seasons with Drighlington in the Bradford League where he returned his best bowling figures of five for 15 from 15 overs. He also played with Thornhill.

He holds the distinction of having played in both the Sykes Cup final and Heavy Woollen Cup final in the same year. He is now 41 and hates the fact that he can't get into the game as much as he used to do and finds fielding a boring occupation.
