Richard started life at Holmfirth where he played for the juniors up to the age of 17. During his period there he represented Huddersfield Schools at both cricket and rugby.
After that he became naturalised at Linthwaite where he played for 20 years before joining us at the start of the season. He is a hard hitting middle order batsman having made a top score of 122 not out against Huddersfield and Lockwood.
His solitary honour whilst at Linthwaite was winning a Section B Championship. He is just an occasional bowler but still performed a hat trick in a second eleven game against Elland.
He remembers with pride his performance against Shelley in 2004 when in an eight over spell he took four for 32 including dismissing Ramzan when he was on 99.
