Gary has dominated Shelley cricket during the past two decades. He has regularly topped both the run scoring chart and the batting averages with his stylish batting. It is highly likely that he has made more runs for the club than anyone else in its history.
This season has been no exception with his opening partnership with Simon Peacock being classed as one of the best in the Drakes League Conference.
He has been a great club man as well as being a former captain. He failed to pick up honours in the Central League days but few deserved to pick up the prizes more than him with the Drakes League successes.
For the past few seasons he has proved to be a very efficient secretary managing to couple this task with his successful career as Managing Director of Pennine Weavers.
