Both sides were crucially missing players, Shelley without regular opener Gary Eastwood, while the Oak certainly missed Steve Rushworth and Simon Hoyle, although veteran stand-in Richard Horner almost steered the visitors home, along with Saleem Mughal.
Between them they put on 86 for the second wicket before Shelley’s South African all-rounder Darryn Mortimer removed them both.
First he clean bowled Horner for 40 before running out Mughal for 57.
