Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the Garden Festival this year. It was hard to believe that we managed another scorching day for this event which must be marked by our visitors searching out all the cold drinks and shade they could find!
One lady pushed her companion all the way from Armitage’s round the walking route - in a wheelchair which must make for some sort of record!
Our Gardeners were magnificent as always - with hardly a blade of grass out of turn and lots of exciting new projects for us all to see!
And the healthy competition in providing refreshments has led to one garden burgeoning from one French maid to three!!! Needless to say there was a constant queue there for this continental service!
