As in previous years, I am leading a Birdsong walk on The Whins and Bridle on the above date.

We have experienced a variety of weather on previous walks but have managed to see and hear a good variety of species. Apart from the bird life there will possibly be a number of spring butterflies on the wing if the weather is suitable.

In particular, the delightful Orange Tip butterfly should have emerged and could be seen nectaring on Lady’s Smock in the damper areas of the sites.
