As in previous years, I will be leading a butterfly walk on the Whins and Bridle on the above date.

Shelley Conservation Group manages the two sites, on behalf of Kirklees Council and Shelley Education Trust.

22 butterfly species have been recorded on the Whins since 1997. Making it one of the most important sites in the Huddersfield area.

Weather permitting there will be an opportunity to visit a nearby wildlife garden and view the contents of a Moth Trap. There may also be an option of driving to a nearby White-letter Hairstreak site too.
