To fulfil these aims, the group has developed site management plans.
It works towards these plans to carry out practical access, landscape and habitat management work, as well as to encourage greater care and appreciation of the sites through environmental interpretation, education and promotion.
It also promotes community responsibility and a sense of local ownership, particularly amongst younger people in the community.
The group will actively seek links with other interested parties locally and be willing to offer time and advice to promote conservation work on a wider scale in the surrounding area.
The group holds an AGM in the village hall and all members of the group and members of the public interested in the group's work are actively encouraged to attend.
