A Small but dedicated group duly turned out on the above date. After the recent wet weather we were met by a rather warm and pleasant spring day.

Tim Scott, part-time Shelley College Enviroment Warden, lead the party around the grounds as I pointed out some wildlife en-route.

We visited the 'Wildlife Garden' firstly, much work has been carried out by the students and staff in this area. Already, many exciting plans are afoot to transform this area.

We then continued around the school grounds and a number of singing birds were identified along with a good number of spring flowers and butterflies.

The walk ended up lasting around two hours and everybody present enjoyed the tour and looked forward to seeing the future plans for the site, coming to fruition.
