This Thing of Darkness
Our last read, The Alchemist by Paul Coelho was perhaps the least well recieved of all the books we have read so far - an international best seller, we had high hopes, but its home spun philosophy and simplistic style left most of us cold.
We had an animated discussion about some of the poetry of our most recent poet laureate - Carol Duffy, and enjoyed her quirky style and subject matter.
A recent poem about politics left us smarting from its cutting edge.
